My name is Benjamin Allan Simon. I make brightly colored, abstract, psychedelic paintings meant to invoke feelings of optimism, whimsy and wonder, or tell abstract stories of mysticism and magic.

I exclusively use acrylic paint. I use many different brands of acrylics, but my favorite is Handmade Modern.

Vibrant explosions of psychedelic color.

Callie Fink, Isaac Abrams, Ilene Meyer, Wassily Kandinsky, and Wayne Thiebaud.
How long does an average painting take you?
A 12 x 12 painting takes me 12 - 20 hours, depending on level of detail. My 5 x 7 tarot paintings took 6 - 12 hours each.
What do you hope to accomplish with your art?
I want my paintings to give people peace, joy, and optimism. It really is as simple as that: I want people to feel happy when they look at my work.
